These Tibetan Buddhist shells are some of my favorite objects. I loved how the natural and ornamental come together in such a way that feels like it can (and will) last lifetimes. Simple, sacred, embodied beauty.

One of the eight auspicious symbols, the white conch shell is an ancient attribute of the heroic gods. An insignia of power, authority, and sovereignty, its promising blast is believed to banish evil spirits, avert natural disasters, scare away harmful creatures, and call like-hearted together.
